On December 27, 2025 (Saturday), a ceremonial opening of the new 2025\u20132026 ski season will take place on the square in front of Hotel Rila in the Borovets resort, marking the start of the jubilee celebrations for the resort\u2019s 130th anniversary.

The initiative is held under the motto \u201c130 Years of Borovets. Legendary Past. Boundless Future\u201d and is expected to bring together participants and guests from the sports, cultural, and music scenes.

Among the main events of the festive day are:
\u2022 \u201cHistorical Treasure Hunt\u201d
\u2022 Snow arena with ski and snowboard competitions led by champions Pepi Popangelov and Sani Zhekova
\u2022 Snow igloo, children\u2019s workshops with local artisans and artists
\u2022 AI photo corner, snow bar, laser show
\u2022 Torchlight and LED ski descent by ski instructors
\u2022 Raffle with prizes, including a season lift pass, daily lift passes, a weekend for two in 4-star hotels, restaurant vouchers, and ski lessons
\u2022 Music program with DJ Dopamine and a live concert by the band Molec

The host of the festive program will be Aleksandar Sano.

\u2022 10:30 \u2013 12:00 \u2013 Snow arena \u2013 children\u2019s descents with the champions (Borovets Ski School training area)
\u2022 11:00 \u2013 15:00 \u2013 Freestyle jumps on the AirBag (Iglika Ski Slope)
\u2022 13:00 \u2013 17:00 \u2013 AI photo pavilion (in front of Hotel Rila)
\u2022 15:30 \u2013 16:30 \u2013 Happy Hour \u2013 complimentary drinks at the snow bar (in front of Hotel Rila)
\u2022 16:30 \u2013 17:00 \u2013 Official opening of the season, hosted by Aleksandar Sano (stage in front of Hotel Rila)
